Football with the Fellas is Back!

With the return of the NFL, the Ritner Sunday routine got back to normal with Mom hitting the road for some alone time and shopping therapy, and the boys staying home to follow their fantasy football teams. As you can see, Addy already knows that football is more fun than shopping. Her future husband will thank me someday.

Baby Tomatos

Grandma French planted some cherry tomatos outside when she was here last month and the crop finally came in this past week. Here is Addy eating the first fruits. We figured she was a little to young to teach her about tithing her first fruits to God.

Sadly, God killed her tomato plant the next day when Hurricane Hanna came through and Dad tried to move the plant into the garage and all the branches split off in the process. I guess God takes his tithing seriously.

New Toys!

While Mom was away Dad and Addy got their hands on some matchbox tracks and cars. Here we are showing them off to Mom when she got back from Chicago. As you can see, Addy thinks they are pretty funny.

We made a little tweak to make them accomodate the Little People cars as well!

Congratulations to Grandpa Ritner on his second Hole in One!

"Today on the 160-yard third hole at Logger's Trail, I hit a 7 iron
that landed inches short of the green and rolled fifteen feet and into
the cup for an ace!"

Jack and Mom's Visit to Chicago

Dad and Kristyn visit Wrigley and see Aramis hit a game winning Grand Slam in the bottom of the 8th to beat the Phillies.

Three generations of beautiful mothers.

This about summarizes Dads day so far

Check out my new laptop screen. After 6 weeks of tweaks, it crashed this morning, forcing me to resort to this. Just wait until I put this laptop through TSA screening at the airport!

We Have the Dirty Kid!

One of Kristyn's great fears is that we have the "dirty kid" at parties, church, or child care. Well, all I can say is I am glad she was not with us tonight at John's 40th birthday party when Addy found some dirt, or ash, in the woods and then coated herself in it.

I don't even know how to try to explain this picture, but it looks like something out of a horror movie with a clown who lures kids into the woods or something. To top off her dirty girl day, Addy is picking her nose, of course.

Needless to say, it was a bath night.

Addy and Daddy Weekend

Mom and Jackson went to Chicago for Grandpa Ankerberg's Memorial Service this weekend with all the Ankerberg cousins. It was a little pricey for us all to go, but we are making the most of our weekend home alone, trying out some new Matchbox cars and tracks, watching Veggie Tales VHS tapes that were being tossed from the Chapel Library (10 in all), and hitting the pool as often as possible.

Mom took the camera, so no pics until Wednesday, but here are some of Addy's new phrases that I am not even sure where she picked up.

"That is my favorite X in the whole world!"
"Thanks Dad, that is the coolest toy ever!"

And she had Uncle Brett and I dying laughing last night as we read Llama Llama, Red Pajama, when she kept trying to say it herself and was yelling, "YAMA MAMA 'JAMA!"

Back to School

The Boyers came down last week to watch the Tribe Women's Soccer home opener against Penn State. PSU is coached by two WM Alums who graduated in '97 with Scott and Jon. The kids were great, staying up until almost 10 PM for the first time ever, mainly because they had so much fun playing soccer with each other in the grass. It made for some great pictures!
