Heading to Bed after a long day

The hospital has Blogger.com blocked, so I have to update the site by email, and that means one picture at a time....argh.  Stupid Censorship!

Big Sister

Addy took it all in stride, wanting to hold Jackson, for exactly 8 seconds before asking for us to take him.

Praise God for a Healthy Baby Boy!

Ritner just watching movies and

Ritner just watching movies and waiting boring so far

We are all checked in and Kristyn has her IV in already.  The doctor broke her water and Jax head is pretty far down already (0 stage).  For those who know their stats, we are at 80% and 4 cm.

Unfortunately they have blogs locked off on the internet filter here, so we may not be able to put up pictures.  I will try to post from email and texts throughout the day.

Someone email me back at Ritner@wcchapel.org and let me know if this pic made it up online.

The Final Belly

Well we are at D-Day+1 and still no sign of Jackson. So I guess we will head in tomorrow at the Doctor's request to get induced at 6 AM. Grandma should be here any time this afternoon to spend tomorrow with Addy and we should have some good news by tomorrow evening! Say a little prayer for us tomorrow when you wake up.

Biding Our Time...

Well today is Jackson's official due date and still no sign of him. At this point we are hoping he waits another 48 hours so we can go in to be induced by doctor's orders on Monday at 6AM on a full night's sleep and with Grandma here to be with Addy.

Wednesday morning was the first of a summer movie series at the local theater. The kids get in for a buck and parents are free. The best part, popcorn and soda are only a buck as well. This week was a Veggie Tales movie so Mom and Addy went and Dad was able to stick his head in for a little bit since I had an appointment right around the corner before it started.

Here are some pictures. Addy actually made it through the whole thing, but sadly Braden and Coleman had to leave after Braden got a little scared at the whole room begin so dark.

Still Waiting...

Kristyn had an appointment yesterday. She is 4 cm. dilated, and the doctor says Jax is dropping lower and lower, he said he doubted she would make it to Monday on her own, but she made it through last night, so we will have to wait and see.

Getting exciting around here. Dad wants her to wait until after softball tonight!

Anything for Attention

Addy is beginning to sense that Jackson is going to get some serious attention once he comes, based on all the baby toys and bouncies that have been pulled out. So after months of her trying to act like a grown up to get our attention, now she wants to be a baby again. She is all into crawling around, talking in baby talk, asking me to hold and rock her, using sign language again and then today she climbed into the bouncy seat to relax.

Here she is when she actually fit in this thing....

More Chocolate Showers

Kristyn had her second shower in two weeks at the Chocolatier in town, but ate much less this time and felt much better afterward. Thanks to Becky and Charis for putting the night together and for all the ladies who Mom loves so much for being there in support.

A Very Happy Father's Day

We had a great Father's Day yesterday. Dad's new position as WCC Associate Pastor was announced at church and his replacement, Pat, has now come on staff as well. Bill also announced promotions for Uncle Andrew and Sophia's Dad, Travis. It was a fun morning all around. We went out to Mexican with Grandpa and Grandma Green and Uncle Brett and then all took two hour naps before watching Tiger's amazing 18th hole.

Future Father's Day Cards from Addy and Jax

This morning I asked Addy for a kiss on my way to church and she said, "No." I said, "Please, it is Father's Day."

She responds, "No, it's not Father's Day...it's Ladies Day!"

Summer Dress

We are working on the days of the week with Addy. I asked her the other day what day of the week we dress up. Her response, "Easter?" Close.. Here she is this past Sunday in her pigtails.

Loving The Last Days of Attention

We think Addy is realizing that her Mom and Dad time will be cut in half soon, so she has been especially clingly lately. Just look at her trying to be with us wherever we go.

I can't tell you the last time she wanted me to read her a book in the middle of the day, this was the highlight of my week!

I have got to get her using the real mower so I can stay inside and watch more sports.

Inside of Three Weeks

We have officially agreed on a name, Jackson Noah Ritner.

The selling points for us:
-Great nicknames like Jack, Jax, J.R.
-The last Ritner to be born in the South, (Culpepper, Virginia during the start of the Civil War) was named John Noah Ritner. So since Dad grew up hating the spelling John, this will have to be close enough.
-He will have his dad's initials, JNR, so he can inherit all my engraved knives I am collecting every time I am a groomsmen in a wedding.
-When Global Warming brings floods to Williamsburg, people will naturally look to our Noah to build an ark of salvation for them. Hope he can do it in less time than it took the other one.

Time for the blog to take on a new masculine look as we get ready for another man in this house. Say goodbye to chick flicks, pink cakes and dress up. It is time for wrestling, mud pies and football in the yard.

How long until he can catch a football you think, 6-7 months?
